Under George W. Bush, the White House website became a very special destination for afficionados of the internets. Rarely does a day pass there without the addition of some wondrously strange or provocative new post. The best and most enduring work at the White House website is perversely wrong-headed, manipulative, and garishly dishonest. Often it is positively infuriating.
And yet, in common with many another right wing site, the White House website does not permit readers to comment on its posts. Therefore in the interests of democracy, accountability, and back-talk, A White House Blog has been created to give readers of the White House website a place to respond to its more remarkable pronouncements.
